Slightly disappointing. Sure it was a good story, had a happy ending, etc. I wish there had been more character definition into how the characters felt instead of just what they were doing. I wanted to know why the male character kept resisting her, why he kept away from her for so many years. Its as if he resists and resists then finally doesn't resist. I'd liked for it to have shown emotion which I felt it didn't. I'd have liked to have gotten to know these characters better. Sadly it was lacking. Chances are I'll have forgotten I've read this book by next week, the plot was that much similar to other historical fiction. My suggestion, don't have your expectations to high for this one.
