Other than the potential for some scenery and imagery, I found little to rescue this book. I disliked it so much, I couldn't get more than a third of the way through it. I usually like this author, but this was a miss.
For starters, it took a long time to get the story moving. Way too many characters and not enough of the actual interaction between the two main people. It really bogged down. Second and most important, I really did not like the heroine. Really. The hero Jack at least had the potential to be interesting. She, frankly, came across as a very unpleasant person. I did not see myself getting invested in the outcome of their relationship.
