Sister Mary Helen is once more embroiled in a SF homicide case to the dismay of long-suffering SFPD detective Inspector Gallager. But this time it is one of his own--a Vice officer--and she died in Sister Mary Helen's arms outside a refuge for homeless women. As always, the author makes the involvement of this seventy-something nun in crime busting totally plausible and entertaining.
