What I most enjoyed about this book was the way Ildiko and Brishen approach their marriage. They have a pragmatic outlook which is a refreshing take on the well worn trope of arranged marriage in romance. They decide that they are in this together so rather then make each other miserable they become a team against the very real threats from Brishen's family and outside fractions who are against the marriage. And of course along the way they find friendship which sets up a solid foundation for love.
It is a well written, intriguing, and lovely read and I highly recommend it
