Other readers have rated this book highly, with 4+ stars, so I thought it would be great and it starts out just fine. But I found that after reading other authors, this one just didn't cut it for me. We learned that one character in the book liked to use foul language, but it was left up to guess work what she said for most of the book. Yet in the last couple of chapters, the F-bomb was out in the open, which did nothing for the story itself and felt contrived, as if something strong HAD to be used, when it did not and was a bad addition. The stories "told" by the dresses seemed less than truly interesting, almost an after thought, when they could have been so intriguing. There was some thinly veiled romance, too. I was disappointed in this story. There are much better romances/fiction out there!!! In all fairness, this was the author's first novel. Maybe that's why it felt and read as juvenile and immature. Wish I hadn't wasted the time. D.
