Beagle returns to unicorns in this novella. It's tender and sweet, I liked how the unicorn brings out the best in Claudio including his poetry. The birth of the baby is lovely. I didn't buy the constant media attention quite so much...in this media hungry world, after a couple days of not seeing anything, it would vanish. Every story needs some conflict, which the bad guys provided, although I didn't feel totally convinced by them. But a nice story with Beagle's lovely imagery and descritions.
