This is my first "listen" to this author! I was really impressed with this book!
I have heard that this book is NOT anything like the "Plum" series. I don't know since I haven't listened to any of them. This book opens with a mysterious, middle of the night phone call from her brother Bill. Sensing something is wrong, Barney decides that she must find her brother, she flies off to Florida - and the story begins! She teams up with a guy named Sam Hooker (NASCAR Guy), and together they both end up in the middle of sunken Gold treasure, stolen Russian Nerve Gas bombs, Cuban exiles, the Mob, and all sorts of misadventures! This is a really enjoyable book to listen to. It can be describes (by the ladies) as a "Cozy" mystery (I just found out what that means!). It's interesting, whitty, funny in places, and it has a good story line.
All-in-all, a good way to spend some hours on the road!
Unabridged Edition - 6 cassettes
