I absolutely love Lora Leigh. Every time I read her books I fall in love with her character's. Her book's always have characters that are complex, driven, mouth watering, and panty dropping. I just can't get enough of her books. When I read her books I always end up feeling like their isn't enough time in the day. I fight to stay reading instead of eating or sleeping.
This book was a fantastic story about Clint "Iceman" McIntire, a Dominant Seal who's love for a woman, Morgana Chavez, began around the time she turned 17. His fear that he'd one day become abusive like his father push him to do the hardest thing, leave the woman he loved and keep a wall around all those who loved him. With a father who beat him, and a cold hearted mother who fueled the beatings by whoring, his fear of loving a woman who wouldn't be faithful was paralyzing.
Morgana is a woman who will never fully submit to anyone least of all the man she's been chasing since she was a pre-teen and in love with Clint. She craves him like the air she breathes, but how many times can a woman be rejected before she faces reality and gives up. She's learned to live with a new career, so she's ready to move on, but Clint seems unwilling to let her go.
This book is a true push and pull between a man and woman. If you like erotic books with a bit of mystery that continues through the series then this book is for you. I loved every second of the read.
