This is an addictive series. Although I usually experiment with different genres, it was hard to stop once I started this series. The character development is not just good; it's terrific. You'll find yourself deeply invested in the lives of these characters. Be sure to read these in order.

Although most characters are the same, the locale has changed to Austin, TX. That is because Jimmy has become the governor of Texas, and it is the inaugural. The minister who was to give the benediction suddenly disappears. Pastor Matt Hayden is pressed into service and becomes involved in finding Pastor Duff. This was so engaging that I read it in less than a day.
