Wow, I'm not sure about the opening statement above (from the back cover), those of us from California and Alaska may think that our state has more to offer the hiker. I would note that according to the front map, only 13 of the 120 hikes are in the eastern half of Montana. In California, you could find at least 10 hikes in all of the counties (well, except for SF), and probably more diversity.

Anyway, the layout of the book is pretty good, there's a pretty clear map for each hike, and there's photos as well. I've been on a couple of the hikes (not using this book).
