âThe Amish Christmas Candleâ consists of three Amish romances set at Christmas written by Kelly Long, Jennifer Beckstrand, and Lisa Jones Baker.

Snow Shines on Ice Mountain by Kelly Long

Naomi Gish's father has an ulterior motive when he hires Gray Fisher to work in her candle shop - he wants Gray to run moonshine for him. Gray, who is a bit of a bad boy among the Amish, agrees. None too pleased, Naomi tries to keep her distance from Gray. Neither one plans on falling in love but that is what seems to be happening. What will happen when Naomi realizes what Gray has been doing for her father?

A Honeybee Christmas by Jennifer Beckstrand

Although she is kind and generous and has done a fine job of raising her three orphaned nieces, Bitsy Kiem is considered eccentric by her Amish neighbors because she wears earrings, colors her hair, and wears temporary tattoos. Yost Weaver is among those who considers Bitsy eccentric but when his grandson Levi does Bitsy wrong he insists on Levi telling Bitsy who decides Levi can help her make candles. Yost accompanies Levi to Bitsy's house and, much to his surprise, the more he sees Bitsy the more he is attracted to her. Can these two complete opposites make a match?

Ever since I read Beckstrand's Honeybee sisters books, I have been waiting for Aunt Bitsy to find romance and A Honeybee Christmas did not disappoint. I love Aunt Bitsy and her eccentric ways including her four cats that she claims she doesn't like. Her growing relationship with Yost is a joy to read and had me laughing out loud at times. Beckstrand takes her time with the romance and does not take the easy way out. I do love the way everything turned out - this was by far my favorite story of the three in the book.

The Christmas Candle by Lisa Jones Baker

The Christmas Candle is a cute little romance that was good but could have been great if it were a bit longer. I have read a couple of Lisa Jones Baker's books and it is nice to see The romance in the book is nicely done .
