After I posted this book, which I got second-hand, I found a few underlines, but it's in nearly perfect condition otherwise; spine straight, covers perfect, etc. Looks like it's mostly unread.

Many five-star reviews at amazon, these are two among them:

The book is excellent overall. The author's presentation is
drawn considerably from his own experience in formulating and
implementing these protocols. Some of the protocols may be
seen in various journals of the Lancet or in studies done
overseas. Dr. Null emphasizes the need for a patient to
"listen to the body" as a condition precedent to a successful
healing experience. That is, repeating harmful behaviors
only impedes the healing process. The key to a successful
healing experience is a careful monitoring and control over
behaviors which are at the heart of the disease process.
Dr. Null's extensive knowledge of bio-chemistry is evident
from the discussion and implementation of a number of the
recommended protocols. To gain a better perspective on the
general area of alternative medicine, it might be helpful to
utilize this work in conjunction with the Alternative Medicine
work by Burton Goldberg. In addition, Dr. Null gives frequent
lectures on radio . It would be helpful to listen to these
presentations in order to obtain foundational material on
the peer-reviewed journals which cite the natural healing
methodologies and the supportive statistical data.
Burton Goldberg's work on Alternative Medicine cites
hundreds of alternative medicine practitioners and an
equal number of research sources in peer-reviewed journals.

I bought this excellent reference for use in my family room; I began to notice that my husband and children seemed to complain about the same symptoms over and over--I was clearing my throat a lot, my son with a tummy ache after certain meals, and my husband had some dental issues that we needed to deal with. What was nice was that I could look up a certain condition, and not only find certain helpful herbs, nutrients, and foods to alleviate the various symptoms, but it also helped me find out what I was doing that worsened my symptoms, so that I could begin to avoid these things. For example, the section on gum health showed me that the regaular intake of important nutrients like Coenzyme Q10 could help in avoiding inflammation in the mouth. My husband and I found this to be very helpful. In addition, small things, such as avoiding the daily glass of coke with our dinner meals --as we learned that it can really erode tooth enamel--has helped out with the dental bills as well.
I found the chapters concise and clear, with guidelines for nutrient amounts as well as helpful summaries at the end of each chapter for quick referral. Thank you for this compendium of helful hints! It is excellent!
