Rarity Cole, a beacon of resilience, has triumphed over cancer and established a bookstore in the serene landscapes of Sedona, Arizona. Her vision is to curate a diverse collection of books dedicated to healing. She initiates a cancer survivor book club, a sanctuary for those who have battled the same adversary. However, the tranquility is shattered when Martha, one of the members, goes missing. Her car is discovered abandoned on a trail, and her dog is left in the care of a friend.

Martha has been less forthcoming about her life, so the group knows little to help find her. This book is not engaging at all; it is tedious and trite. I couldn't believe it when someone guessed that the murderer kept a treasure as a trophy (a la a serial killer). What hokum! I won't be reading any more by this author.
