I just finished reading this book and am very glad I did. It is a story about a great adventure one family took in the hopes of helping their autistic son. It has allowed me to see in a small way into the lives of family that has a child with autism and some of the struggles that they have to go through. At the same time it is a great adventure story about a trip to Mongolia, much of it on horseback. The scenery and the glimpses of the culture are nicely conveyed. This book does read like a novel or story book but it is in fact true, more of a documentary that reads like a novel. The biggest thing I have gotten from this book is a very thankful heart to God for allowing me to have "normal" children and sparing me from the type of trials that this family has had to endure. I have a greater appreciation of trials of others. This is a great book and all should read it.
