This book is the 2nd in the Underland Chronicles. I read the first book to my kids and they couldn't wait for the second. I was a little apprehensive at first. I was afraid that this book would be a lot like the first. It wasn't! It held it's own. Gregor and his little sister "Boots" go back down to the Underworld (not by choice) and are taken into another adventure with the Prophecy of Bane. There they have to stop the rats again. They have a secret weapon that could destroy the Underworld. Gregor sets out with some new characters and some old ones and finds that the secret weapon isn't what they thought it would be. You'll need to read more to find out. Can't wait to read the third book!
