The ability to imagine is the greatest attribute of intelligence!
This story is built around an incredible discovery; in the middle of the South Pacific, resting almost buried on the ocean floor, is a spacecraft of unknown origin. A team of experts from various fields are gathered to investigate.......
Let me spin the adjective wheel --- Excellent! Awsome listen!
I've read the book, seen the movie, and now I've listened to the audio. The audio has been by far the most enjoyable. This is a great little audio (3 hours), but if you can release yourself from the grasp of reality, and let yourself go, you'll embark on a wonderful adventure. This little audio has "Special Effects", you hear the air in the diving suits, the bubbles floating to the surface, the keys on a terminal. Ed Asner does an outstanding job! He is not alone, You get to experience a "third person" perspective throughout the audio.
As most of you know - from reading my other reviews - I'm a commuter, and I found myself sitting in the parking garage waiting for the tape to finish before going in to work (not recommended)!
Some of the reviews I have seen state that this novel doesn't match up to Crighton's previous ones - well, I don't judge the merit of a book based soley on previous offerings, I judge it on its own merit!
I liked this book!
I think you will too!
