I did not enjoy this installment as much as past books. It was a little dark and tediously boring.

If you're up to book three you should know that Aden Stone has three souls trapped inside him and that his girlfriend Victoria Tepes is Vlad the Impaler's daughter. Well in this one, Victoria has saved Aden's life by turning him into a vampire which inadvertently switched her monster with his souls. So now Aden has the vampire's demon (Chompers...gotta love the name) and Victoria is stuck with Julian, Elijah and Caleb who don't like being inside her at all. Interestingly enough, Chompers likes Aden just fine. With their forced interaction, Aden is slowing turning vampire while Victoria is turning human. It's an interesting concept but Ms. Showalter dragged this part of the book out too long and it just became tedious. Once this part passes, the action revs up and Riley and Mary Ann enter the picture. And of course, they have their own issues which are also somewhat boring.

All in all I think the book dragged too much for total enjoyment. And I thought this was the conclusion to the series but definitely not. I guess there will be at least two more since Aden now has two souls left to release and he looses one per book.
