I first met Dr. John McDougall in 1986 when he visited the Ohio Valley. Although I have been off and on his program for years, I think I survive in pretty good shape because of those times I stayed with it and ate things that supported my health. I cannot tell you how convinced I am that he is entirely correct in his views of what to eat - and I am promising you a lighter feeling, a "clean" feeling inside, no sluggishness and lethargy, when you follow his dear wife's home-grown recipes. Book blurb below:
Mary McDougall has been actively involved in the health profession as a nurse and an educator for nearly 20 years. One of her greatest contributions is the hundreds of recipes she has created with ingredients that support THE McDOUGALL PLANs innate healing process and good health. If you are new to the kitchen, follow the detailed direction for each recipe exactly, and you will get great results every time. If you are experienced, these ideas will provide guidelines to make meals flavored the way you and your family have learned to like them.
