Interesting murder mystery from mid-16th century Japan and a quick read. The team of a Japanese Shinobi (aka ninja) and a Portuguese priest investigate the murder of a sake brewer. Lots of suspects, but I had it figured out after two-thirds of the book.

This is the third book in the series. I haven't read the first two, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. One interesting character was a sword-wielding female samurai. And I liked the drunk monk who kept yelling, "I did it. I'm the killer."
