Stowed Away is the sixth installment in the A Maine Clambake Mystery series set in Busman's Harbor, ME featuring Julia Snowden and her family. It's early June and Julia and her family are preparing for the busy summer season, getting things ready to open the Snowden Family Clambakes on Morrow Island.

The family is trying to decide what to do with the burned out shell of the family mansion, Windsholme located on the island. Family friend Quentin Tupper has asked an architectural and design expert to come meet with the Snowden's and Julia is shocked to see her high school nemesis Wyatt Jane climb off the family skiff.

Wyatt Jane happens to be in town staying on her boyfriend's mega yacht Garbo while it is being refit at the local marina. The mega yacht belongs to the reclusive Geoffrey Bower who has made his billions in the housing market crash and is now one of the most hated men in the world. Wyatt invites Julia and boyfriend Chris along with Quentin to dinner one evening on the yacht. The crew is very protective of their boss and the man himself was actually quite charming until their dinner was interrupted by a group of protestors on the dock.

Julia receives a frantic phone call from Wyatt the next afternoon; Geoffrey is dead. Stumbling on to the crime scene Julia catches a glimpse of something that nobody else including the police detectives seem to notice. Although reluctant to help Wyatt clear her name, Julia feels it's the right thing to do for Quentin.

A fast paced storyline that has all sorts of twists and turns and ties to the Snowden family. The well developed main characters that readers have grown to know and love are all back and this might just be the best of the series so far.
