Despite my best efforts at sleuthing, I was totally surprised at who the killer was when the reveal came.

While I don't think Frazer's "Sister Frevisse" is as entertaining as Ellis Peters' "Brother CadFael," she is still good. And I enjoy reading how people lived and behaved during this time period.
