The beginning caught my interest and then I lost it for awhile before gaining it back again. This book took me awhile to read, but finally towards the end I could not put it down. Jodi Picoult is a fantastic writer, but this, in my opinion, is not her best work. It is an earlier book of hers. In her books she takes difficult issues and tries to persuade the reader to look at both sides. I felt like she geared the reader to one side immediately in this book though. The book is ok, but don't stop at this one of Jodi's if it is the only one you have read. She has some wonderful books that are aces above this one.
