Most of Beck's murder mysteries have a humorous side. This one doesn't. It's a psychological thriller which keeps you on edge. I kept putting off reading it, as I don't like that kind of book. But once I started reading, I had to force myself to put it down to do unnecessary things like prepare meals, eat, sleep, etc. I seldom describe books as page turners, but this one fits that description.
Why this one hasn't been made into a movie I don't know.
