I love Maggie Osborne's writing so much that I do not post her books as I like to read them over and over again. In the case of the Yankee Princess however, I could not even finish it. I read historical romance novels for pleasure, escape and historical learning. The brutal rape passage on the pirate ship gave me nightmares and I could not continue the book. It may be historically accurate for women and the time period but I abhor violence and choose to read books that do not contain it. This one went right into the garbage.
