Successful architecht Nora Noone is shocked when her father dies suddenly by falling off a cliff at his seaside home and leaves the property to her. Nora's father was a thrice-married and quite wealthy hotel and resort developer, and although she has twin half brothers from her father's second marriage they are practically strangers. When one of the twins questions the assessment of the local police that their father's death was accidental (which the reader knows from the prologue that it was not), Laura reluctantly agrees to help her brother Sam investigate.

This book is more mystery than thriller. There are subplots about Nora's deteriorating relationship with her fiance Jack, Sam's issues with commitment, and flashbacks detailing their father as a young man. Though the pacing lagged in parts, I was interested enough to keep reading. Unfortunately the reveal at the end was underwhelming.

Thank you to Goodreads and the publisher for an ARC of this book. The opinions expressed here are my own.
