Outlander shouldn't really be classified as "romance." There is romance in it, but it defies genres. I'm almost 60 & I have read this series at least twice. I turned my doctor onto it & months later she was still hooked on the series.
I DON'T read romance novels! This is a little bit of everything: time travel, general fiction, thriller, SF, & some romance. It's my favorite book of my favorite series of all time. And I've read thousands of books in my life in most genres. Please don't miss out on this! You won't be sorry & don't give up before Claire ends up back in time. That's the REAL story.
