A mix of science fiction and horror. Reminds me of Frankenstein meets the puppet masters along with not one but several very mad (crazy) scientists. Add some from the prisoner, complete with village, sprinkle some Macgyver type tricks along the way, a dash of zombies and a liberal covering of dark humor and you have a very good read.
The first 100 pages go a little slow to set the background but don't give up. The real fun begins on page 118.
