I liked this book but not as well as "The Heritage of Lancaster County" series. As a Christian, I appreciate the references to salvation. However, I felt like there is a little bit of overkill in her books. I found myself starting to skip through her mini sermons. Wanda Brunstetter, another author of Amish fiction, is a little more subtle in her approach.
~~~Even though you may find the sermons her books as a tad overkill I have to disagree. It was because of Beverly Lewis's "sermons" that I found the love of God again in my life. I find it sad that you see it as overkill. While it may be annoying to some, to others it's a breath of freash air. :)
