I love living in Nebraska, but it's not a popular setting for novels. So when I learned that the latest installment of the Daughters of the Mayflower series takes place in my state, I was very excited!

This historical romance was inspired by the Children's Blizzard that occurred in Nebraska on January 12, 1888. In this actual event, 213 children and 22 adults perished because the surprise storm occurred mid-afternoon while children were attending classes in rural school buildings. But this plot includes much more than the blizzard. Readers enjoy an enemies-to-lovers romance between Abigail and Dashiell as well as a mystery to solve a crime that is deeply personal to Abby. And since this is a Christian fiction title, there's a return to faith and a sweet redemption subplot.

Thank you to Susanne Dietze for creating a wonderful cast of characters to live in a place near and dear to my heart.
