I found this book to be slow moving at first. Took me a long time to get into it as it's very high-schooly and irritating. Dru has a few pity parties which were annoying and had me thinking get over it already. There is a surprising amount of cursing (even the F word) for a young adult novel. This is definitely for older teens.
Dru and Graves are running for their lives from the vampires who want to kill Dru. At the Schola, where they are sent for protection, the werewulves and the djamphirs work together to defeat the attacking vampires. There is a traitor afoot and Dru is constantly in danger where she should be safest. I particularly like Christophe and hope he features in the next book too. He is so mysterious and angst-ridden that his revelations should be very interesting. I can't wait to see where this story goes next.
