If this book doesn't address all your concrete ornament questions, I don't know which book would. This should get your creative juices flowing.
The first chapter deals with all the Concrete Basics, while chapter two is all about Forming and Construction Techniques. Chapter three is about Surface Treatments. And chapter four is about the projects. There are beginning projects, such as making Bowls, a Hypertufa Trough, Steppingstones, or Garden Mushrooms. There are intermediate projects, such as a Garden Bench, a Leaf Bowl, or a Birdbath. There are also advanced projects, such as a Bubbling Fountain, Garden Torch, or Totem. There are at least 8 projects at every level. Lots of photos and directions.
The book is large enough so that when you open up to a page and put the book down on the table, the book stays open so you can easily read the text and see the pictures.
There are directions on carving a form out of foam, sand casting, and instructions on how to carve from a cast form. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the content of this book.
