Venetia thought that Gabriel Jones was good for a one-night-stand... hahaha, famous last words.
So started a chain of events that made this book a nice one, but not one I'd like to keep.
It has become a habit of Amanda Quick (a.k.a. Jayne Krentz) to plot her novels like this: feisty heroine meets alpha male --dusting of paranormal on both-- sparks ignite, romance ensues --heavy dose of mystery-- more romance while solving mystery, happy ending.
Make no mistake, this takes skill; but by now (after reading 90% of her books) it's becoming repetitive. Unfortunately, this book is one more of the same.
