Claire Heller Chapman, a Harvard Law Professor and her second husband, Tom, a successful money manager lead a glamorous and happy life until a random burglary turns their world upside down. A routine police investigation reveals that Tom is not who he says he is. Claire learns that he once was a secret operative for the US government under another name. He is suddenly arrested and she puts her reputation as a high powered attorney on the line to defend him.
