So the Fleet gets back to Alliance space, in spite of treachery, Syndics and aliens. It was about time!
This book wrapped up a lot of loose ends but left so much open. I could actually be satisfied with the series ending here though, if need be. Maybe Jack Campbell, ie John G. Hemry, will do another series, "Aliens and Syndics" or something :-)
I have to admit though, the last jump or two felt kind of rushed. Almost like Hemry just wanted his characters to be where he wanted them to be so he could work his authorial magic upon them. Better than book 3 and 4 imo.
