The blurb promised this would be "one guilty pleasure you won't be ashamed to talk about in the morning." This was only half true -- I felt guilty about finding Chelsea Handler's spin on her one-night spins eyebrow-raising funny. Can she be serious? I could see why readers gush about how hilarious they found Chelsea's adventures: she does have an irreverent, open sense of humor. She's a stand-up comedian after all, so you expect her to be able to put a comedic spin on superficial encounters which probably weren't that exciting in the moment. Even she seems to outgrow her love of one-night stands by the end. Although you might get a laugh out of this quick read, you would cringe if you saw any young girl whom you care about reading it. She does mention condoms, pap smears, and making sure she had her car with her, but this is buried between multiple swigs of vodka and Ecstasy. I guess in that sense this could count as a guilty pleasure -- because you might want to read it for laughs but want to keep it away from anyone mentally adolescent.
