Elizabeth and her mother move into her granfather's house on Autumn Street when her father goes to fight in WWI. She makes friends with Charles and has wonderful times. But on the winter day they go out in the snow to try Elizabeth's new sled, the tragedy in the woods changes her safe world forever.
