After three unsuccessful London seasons, Daisy Bowman is given an ultimatum by her rather cruel and nasty father - find a husband or one with be found for you. Matthew Swift, her father's protege is the one selected. Daisy, of course, knows Matthew and hates him because he is just like her father - or so she thinks. Daisy isn't your typical London miss. She's outspoken and has ideas that get her in trouble with her callus father.
The unintentional courtship is at times both funny and heartbreaking. Matthew is a sweetheart with dangerous secrets and Daisy doesn't want to leave England (Matthew lives in America) or her sister (her best friend and only familial support).
I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Wallflowers series. All the wallflowers and their husbands make appearances in this story...kinda like a family reunion.
