Sookie, Sookie, wherefore art thou Sookie?

I waited how long for this? The majority of this book seemed like set up for the next book---what will Sookie do with her fairy wish? What is the plan behind the fairies gathering at Clarance's bar? Will Eric marry for power or remain loyal to Sookie? Will Sam ever get another decent waitress? Dead Reckoning had very little of the offbeat humor and insights that I have come to expect from Ms. Harris.

I felt the book was way too long and could have used some serious editing. Ms. Harris may have a felt obliged to stretch out the action as she may still be under contract to write more Sookie books, but I feel like this book could have been cut in half easily.

Not my favorite of the series.
