In the 1920's Hollywood's quest to make the best western movie by the owner of a movie studio involves finding an old character, Shorty McAdoo aka, the Englishman's Boy because he has survived through the time of the old west. The person assigned to find and get the story from The Englishman's Boy carries the story in the 20's and you are exposed to the grand ole time of Hollywood of this period. Vanderhaeghe alternates between the 20's and the movie script he is searching for about the old west of hunters, cowboys, and Indian fighters. He has maintained his standard with his talented use of the language to produce a great story which I enjoyed.
