This is the 2nd book in the Dream Guardians series.
This book is about Stacey and Connor (Adain and Lyssa's best friends).

For me the chemistry between the two characters wasn't really there - it felt forced. Connor was very anoying alpha. Stacey had been dealt a rough hand by fate and was more whining/mouthy instead of spunky. The book starts with LOTS of world building, which was helpful for those who missed the first book in the series (like my self). However the world building gets repeative to a point of being anoying. Its full of bland sex/lust scenes, but so mechanical and un-inspired, it left me yawning.... The plot was slow and tedious, not exciting and not well written. The scifi element was there but was poorly executed. Even the romance is boring which is kind of essential in a smut book. The characters are one-dimensional with zero devalopment. And while the plot-story had potential, the author didn't manage to take it anywhere.

Maybe I should have started with the first book of the series and not this one (the 2nd) but I couldn't get "into" the plot and nothing about the characters or the story made we want to make an effort... I was disappointed. I moved on.
