I felt this book was better than many of the reviews. The author has a different spin on urban fantasy that intrigued me. Zombies or, Previously Deceased Humans, which is the PC way to address them, are not the mindless braaaaiiiins hunting movie variety. Lots of demons, werewolves, vampires and main character Victory Vaughn, a shapeshifting demon hunter. Her relationship with her attorney werewolf boyfriend Kane is fairly prickly. Additional characters are brilliant. Tina, a teenage zombie, is her demon hunting apprentice. Juliet Capulet, her vampire roommate. Yes, Shakespeare's Juliet. Axel, the owner of her favorite bar, Creature Comforts. The doorman at her apartment building, Clyde the zombie. Aunt Mab, her demon hunting trainer. I look forward to the next book.
