I absolutely loved this book and finished it in 2 days. It's the story of Alex Dornenfeld, a 29-year old woman who has been treated pretty much as a "princess" her entire life. She is an only child of very wealthy parents and has never had to work for anything.
While she is living out in L.A., trying to make it on her own without any help, she and her dog Peaches are hit by a car, die, and both go to Heaven (which sounds pretty amazing!). Only glitch is since she really hasn't done much with her life, she has to prove why she deserves to stay in the part of heaven (7th level) she arrives at.
It's very touching - I can honestly say I had to wipe tears from my eyes a few times.
I am definitely going to read Adena Halpern's other books.
