This is a very long, thorough book, loaded with detail and illustrations. It is divided into three sections: Life in a Medieval Castle, Life in a Medieval Village, and Life in a Medieval City. Each section has a prologue and anywhere from 12 to 16 chapters. It is well written but took a long time to read. Though I like read historical books for pleasure, I feel this one is could be used as a text book.
