I absolutely LOVE J D Robb books; have read everyone more than once; I await anxiously for every new book. This last one was a disappointment though. I don't know if I can describe it, but there was definitely something missing. Not enough substance, maybe. and not the humor that is usually there. I love all of the characters; they have become almost like family. It felt like Nora Roberts was writing just to write; just a filler. I still can't wait for the next one. Maybe this was just a fluke.
