Let me begin by saying that I do believe in God, I believe in Heaven and I believe in miracles. But, this book is so arrogantly written that I had to force myself to finish reading it. As a reader, I was told so many times throughout this book that Dr. Alexander's near death experience was so much "more" than anyone else's. For example, and I quote, "At the risk of oversimplifying, I was allowed to die harder, and travel deeper, than almost all NDE subjects before me." (Insert eye roll here.) While Dr. Alexander's credentials and experiences are impressive, his gloating is not. In my opinion, what Dr. Alexander needs is a good dose of humility.
