I really enjoyed this. It was a little different from what I remember of Chocolat, but I must admit I may have been getting the book mixed up with the movie (Chocolat, I mean), which I also loved. I had a hard time figuring out who was who in the beginning, the new character was a little sinister and the Vianne character seemed so different than I remembered her at the end of Chocolat. Anyway, it all comes together pretty quickly. This is an original story, well-written, and definitely kept my attention.
