Amun, bearer of the demon Secrets, is currently under a death threat/watch due to his recent trip into hell. Completely out of his mind thanks to the new lesser demons that no plague his mind, he has become not only a threat to humanity, but to his friends and himself.

Enter Strider, the bearer of Defeat. Recently returned from a globe hopping chase with an old acquaintence/prisoner - a Hunter by the name of Haidee. The very same Hunter/Bait that had killed their frined Baden decades ago, and who Strider had killed himself in vengence for Baden's death.

But who is Haidee really? How is it that she is still alive after Strider killed her decades ago? And how is it that she and she alone is able to comfort Amun and make him sane?

Ps. You also get a glimpse at just who Strider's woman will be as well. Paris learns that his woman is not completely dead anymore. And William's own secrets are slowly beginning to be revealed in this one as well.
