I have mixed feelings about this book--
1. feels like a ripoff of the Robert Hunter books by Chris Carter (which are excellent)
2. just too long and drawn out
3. even though the 'diary' chapters are graphic (very) I got tired of muddling through them
4. too many descriptions that just don't have any meaning to the story but just put words on a page to make the book longer
so I can only give 3* to this first book and hopefully the next book will be a tighter woven story and not so long and drawn out
oh my! I just looked up the next book and it is showing it has 500 pages? oh my that makes me think that it will be so long and draggy that it might be hard to get through it unless Barker can make the story very tight and have a good thrill in every chapter
