Not a subject that I am interest in kno0wing more about, having followed reports in the LA Times, Economist, etc. The author has done a good job. He was brave (foolish?) enough to travel to Somalia and explains the clan connections.
He rightly acknowledges his debt to Stig Jarle Hansen. I feel the world is beholden to Kenya for trying and imprisoning Somali pirates.
The case of the MV Victoria is laid out in detail as Mr. Bahadur was there as it played out. We see how low tech the pirates' equipment was.
Good map, endnotes, index.
