I love mysteries and also love books that keep God in mind. This book is written in easy language that children could also follow and enjoy. Kate and her friend Bonnie are getting ready to enjoy some birdwatching, especially the upcoming festival planned for watching for some rare sparrows expected to come their way. Only instead of seeing a lot of birds they see a lack there of... especially in a certain area. They meet some odd newcomers and talk to some other people from town who are acting oddly and try to piece together the details. Kate is known for solving mysteries but can she figure this one out?
